Dawna Dryhorub
Dance Teacher

Dawna Dryhorub is a dance artist and educator specializing in inclusive practice and movement for well-being. She holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Dance Studies from the University of Bern. Dawna was training director at the Folkwang Dance Studio and visiting professor of classical ballet at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. As an experienced international teacher (Poland, Brazil, South Korea) and certified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT®) instructor, she works with numerous companies in the region.
Dawna Dryhorub has collaborated with choreographers such as Rodolpho Leoni and Samir Akika. She has long led special courses for neurological disorders at tanzhaus nrw, including programs for people with Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, and dementia. She combines science and art, integrating her ongoing studies in sports neurology into her teaching. Since 2022, she has been involved with UNIque@dance, designing inclusive classical ballet training for dancers with different abilities. Since 2024, Dawna Dryhorub has been working as a dance teacher for the Ballet am Rhein, teaching mixed-abled dance classes and dance classes for people with dementia.
