Guido Reinhold

After his apprenticeship as a garment tailor, Guido Reinhold studied at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in the clothing department with a focus on design. This was followed by training as a cutting technician at M. Müller & Sohn and courses of study at the Academy of Fashion & Design and the ABST Institute for Fashion Design. Guido Reinhold gained his first professional experience as a first cut technician for ladies' wear at Karl Lagerfeld. This was followed by permanent positions designing and executing women's and sports collections as well as his own women's collection "Ophelias". Most recently, Guido Reinhold worked in his eight years of self-employment (cutting, customisation and production of opera and ballet costumes) for the Metropolitan Opera, the Nationale Opera Amsterdam, the Opéra National de Paris, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the workshop for the art of dress "das gewand", the Pina Bausch Foundation for Costume & Cut, the Wuppertaler Bühnen, the Ballett Dortmund, the Nationaltheater Mannheim, Zero One Film, the Düsseldorfer Marionettentheater, the Burgfestspiele Jagsthausen and various musicals. Since 2015, Guido Reinhold has been employed at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as a master of ladies' garments, where he also designed the costumes for Donizetti's opera "Pygmalion" and Sonia Dvorák's ballet "Our Discontent" in 2018.
