Juan-Pedro Godoy

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Juan-Pedro Godoy began his professional studies at the age of 11 with Ms. Silvia Contenti, and later graduated from the prestigious Conservatorio Departamental de Canelones under the tutelage of Mr. Luis Pérez Aquino. He continued his training privately thanks to a scholarship granted by the National Music Fund (FONAM) of Uruguay.

He has taken courses and master-classes with teachers such as Mr. Aldo Antognazzi (Argentina), Mr. Enrique Graf (Uruguay), Ms. Junko Ueno Garrett (Japan), Ms. Mari Naka (Johann Sebastian Bach Musikschule Wien), Ms. Edith Fischer (Chile), Ms. Ana María Campistrús (Uruguay), among others.

As soloist, he has been awarded the First Prize in the "Ciudad de Montevideo" National Piano Competition in two consecutive editions, in different categories.

In 2011 he started accompanying dancers at the National Ballet School (SODRE) in Montevideo and in 2017, he was hired as a pianist and teacher at the prestigious Escola do Teatro Bolshoi in Brazil, working with great Russian, Ukrainian and Brazilian teachers in disciplines such as classical dance, historical dances, character dances, pas de deux and repertoire.

Since 2023, he is ballet repetitor at Ballett am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Germany.
