Koray Berat Sari

Koray Berat Sari is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Monheim am Rhein, who comes from an Alevi-Kurdish family. He completed his degree, majoring in classical guitar, at the Cologne University of Music and Dance. In addition, he specialised in Near Eastern instruments and musical cultures.
Sari performs both as a soloist and in ensembles and, amongst other things, directs the youth ensemble ‘mondomuziko nrw’. He works as a lecturer and visiting lecturer at the Cologne University of Music and Dance, the State Association of Music Schools in North Rhine-Westphalia and the State Music Academy of North Rhine-Westphalia. With the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra, he is involved in various concerts and projects as a Community Music Artist.
