Lauren Alving
Dancer
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Lauren began her preliminary training at The Academy of Dance Arts in Illinois. In 2020, she continued her professional education at the Dutch National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam, where she earned an Associate Degree in Classical Ballet and completed an internship with the Dutch National Ballet and danced works from William Forsythe, Crystal Pite, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and Rachel Beaujean.
From 2022 to 2024, she was a member of Junior Ballet Antwerp. Her repertoire during this time included pieces by David Dawson, Mauro De Candia, Ishan Rustem, and Alain Honorez.
In 2024, Lauren joined Semperoper Ballett in Dresden under the direction of Kinsun Chan after being awarded the Ballettstipendium from Stiftung Semperoper. There she danced in ballets such as “Serenade” by George Balanchine, “Noetic” by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, “Nijinsky” by John Neumeier, and “A Swan Lake” by Johan Inger. She is a member with Ballett am Rhein since the 2025/26 season.
