Lilliana Hagerman, an American citizen born in Italy, has danced with Semperoper Ballett in Dresden, the Finnish National Ballet in Helsinki and Kansas City Ballet, where she spent eight seasons following her early professional years with Orlando Ballet and Orlando Ballet II.
Recognized for her versatility in both classical and contemporary repertoire, she has performed works by renowned choreographers including George Balanchine, Frederick Ashton, John Neumeier, William Forsythe, Akram Khan, Tamara Rojo, Twyla Tharp, Jerome Robbins, John Cranko and Yuri Possokhov. Her repertoire includes principal and featured roles such as Dorothy in Septime Webre’s “The Wizard of Oz”, Hermia in Frederick Ashton’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, the Sugar Plum Fairy in Devon Carney’s “The Nutcracker”, John Cranko’s “Romeo and Juliet”, and the Emerald Fairy and Bluebird Pas de Deux in “The Sleeping Beauty” after Marius Petipa by A. S. Watkin and Marcelo Gomes. She has also appeared in contemporary works including William Forsythe’s “In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated”, Helen Pickett’s “Petal” and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s “Tulips and Lobster”.
Her artistry has earned international recognition, including an invitation to perform at the prestigious Prix Benois de la Danse in 2019 with “The Wizard of Oz” by Septime Webre. In 2018, Pointe Magazine named her one of its “Stars of the Corps”, while earlier in her career she received Second Place in the Contemporary category and ranked among the Top 12 Classical competitors at the Youth America Grand Prix.
Trained at Orlando Ballet School, she has built an international career distinguished by technical excellence, dramatic depth and artistic versatility.
