Mohannad Nasser

The Syrian oud player and composer Mohannad Nasser is an innovative musician specialising in traditional Arabic music with oriental influences. His compositions are described by audiences as “delicate, cheerful and magical”.
His journey with the oud began during his studies at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus, where he perfected his knowledge of traditional Oriental music and studied classical Western music. He subsequently obtained his Master’s degree from the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston with his educational project “Contemporary today, Heritage tomorrow”. He subsequently expanded his oud skills to encompass a wide range of styles, including classical music, jazz, Brazilian music and flamenco. Nasser has won several prizes at international oud competitions and performs his music all over the world.
