Paweł Horodyski

Polish bass Paweł Horodyski is currently a member of the ensemble at the Bayerische Staatsoper, having joined after graduating from its Opera Studio. 2025, he was awarded Third Prize and the Lied Prize at the Queen Sonja Singing Competition. Recent operatic highlights include house debuts at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence as Masetto in “Don Giovanni” (Mozart) and as Lord Gualtiero in “I Puritani” (Bellini) at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl. In the 2025/26 season, Paweł Horodyski will make his role debut as Alessio in „La sonnambula“ (Bellini) at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl and as Sarastro in „Die Zauberflöte“ (Mozart) at the Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa. He will also make house debuts at Teatro di San Carlo as Quinault in „Adriana Lecouvreur“ (Cilea) and at the Kraków Opera as Masetto in „Don Giovanni“ (Mozart) and returns to the Wrocław Opera to reprise the role of Zbigniew in „The Haunted Manor“ (Moniuszko).
As a member of the Bayerische Staatsoper ensemble, he sings various roles, including Masetto in „Don Giovanni“, Truffaldino in „Ariadne auf Naxos“ (Strauss), Baron Douphol in „La traviata“ (Verdi), the First Soldier in „Salome“ (Strauss), the First Courtier in „One Blood“ (Dean), and the Second Prisoner in „Fidelio“ (Beethoven).
On the concert platform, Paweł has recently appeared with the Wrocław Philharmonic, the Bayerisches Staatsorchester, the Wrocław Chamber Opera, and the Polish Royal Opera.
At the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, he will perform at the 16th Opera Gala for the German AIDS Foundation.
