Pipilota Neostus
Pipilota Neostus studied flute with Mihkel Peäske at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, graduating with honors, while concurrently studying at the Karlsruhe University of Music from 2014 to 2019 in the flute class of Prof. Renate Greiss-Armin and Prof. Pirmin Grehl. In the summer of 2022, she completed her master’s degree in Karlsruhe with honors.
She has successfully participated in several competitions, including the Estonian Music Competition for Wind Instruments (2018, Grand Prix); the 1st Estonian Piano Chamber Music Competition “In Corpore” (2015, prize winner); and the Karlis Strahls Competition for Young Flutists in Latvia (2012, 1st prize) . She gained orchestral experience at the Academy of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, as an intern with the Rhineland-Palatinate State Philharmonic, and as a member of the Gürzenich Orchestra of the Cologne Orchestra Academy. From 2019 to 2021, she was principal flutist at the Estonian National Opera.
As a soloist, Pipilota Neostus has performed with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, the Pärnu City Orchestra, and the Orchestra Carolina Karlsruhe. Masterclasses with Felix Renggli, Denis Bouriakov, Marc Hantaï, Renate Greiss-Armin, Vincent Cortvrint, Marika Järvi, and Emma Tessier round out her training.
Since the 2023–24 season, Pipilota Neostus has been associate principal flutist with the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra.
