Sophia Profanter

Sophia Profanter (she/her) is a freelance stage and costume designer in the field of theater and film.
She has been working continuously with Helene Payrhuber and Anna Marboe since her studies at the University of Art and Design Graz (2013-2018). Joint theater works were created at the Volkstheater Munich (“Die Nashörner”), the Kosmos Theater Vienna with ‘Jeeps’ and with “Der diskrete Charme der Bourgeoisie” at the Landestheater Linz.
She was involved in the development of “Kompost Horror” at the Theater an der Parkaue (directed by Leonie Graf and Manuel Gerst) and “Der große Gatsby” at Schauspielhaus Bochum (collective directorial work under the direction of Zita Gustav Wende). She designed the set design for “Im Zweifelsfall” (director: Till Gombert) and “Liebe / eine argumentative Übung” (director: Zita Gustav Wende).
Sophia Profanter is also a co-founder of the artists' collective KURG HUHU.
