Jacqueline Davenport

Jacqueline Davenport received her ballet training at the Rambert School of Ballet and the Royal Ballet School in London. In her engagements as a dancer at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt and the Theater Bremen, she worked with choreographers such as Horst Müller, Todd Bolender, John Neumeier, Johann Kresnik, Reinhild Hoffmann and Gerhard Bohner. In 1986 she was appointed ballet mistress at the Theater Bremen. Since then she has choreographed for numerous opera productions, including "Don Giovanni" (Mozart) at the Stuttgart State Opera, "Le nozze di Figaro" (Mozart) in Brussels and "Il turco in Italia" (Rossini) at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, among many others. At the Bremen Theatre she has choreographed more than 60 opera productions. She has worked with directors such as Christof Loy, David Mouchtar-Samorai, Karin Beier, Chris Alexander, Andrej Woron, Barry Kosky, Anna-Sophie Mahler, Frank Hilbrich and Andrea Moses. She also teaches in her own ballet school.
At the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Jacqueline Davenport is responsible for the choreographic rehearsal of Massenet's "Manon" as well as Mascagni's "Cavalleria rusticana" and Leoncavallo's "Pagliacci", directed by Christof Loy.
