Brent Parolin

Ballet Master & Choreograph
Canadian-born Brent Parolin is a dancer, teacher, coach and choreographer. He began his dance training as a student at the prestigious National Ballet School in Toronto, where he was awarded the Laurence Haskett and Peter Dwyer Scholarships, among others. After graduation, he moved to Stuttgart to continue his training at the John Cranko School, eventually becoming a semi-soloist with Stuttgart Ballet in 2006. In 2014, Brent Parolin moved back to Toronto, became part of the National Ballet of Canada and began teaching at Canada's National Ballet School. He has danced in works by John Cranko, Maurice Bejart, Wayne McGregor, Christian Spuck, Demis Volpi, Kenneth MacMillan, George Balanchine and Marco Goecke, among others. He has worked as a teacher in Canada, Germany, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore, among other places. After creating several pieces for the Noverre: Young Choreographers Programme and the National Ballet of Canada's Choreographic Workshop, he became increasingly interested in the whole process surrounding dance - from training to creation, from performer to production.
Brent Parolin has been Ballet Master at the Ballett am Rhein since 2020 and is also responsible for the choreographic collaboration in Rossini's "Il barbiere di Siviglia".
