Liedmatinee

In our song matinees, ensemble members, guests and pianists showcase the exciting diversity of international Lied art in the foyer of the Düsseldorf Opera House. With “FOCUS: JASCHA HORENSTEIN”, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein commemorates the General Music Director of the Düsseldorf Opera House, who was forcibly removed from office by the Nazis in 1933 and whose name subsequently fell into oblivion. Students from the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf are preparing a special matinee concert for the occasion.
