To mark the premiere of the new production “María de Buenos Aires,” the Deutsche Oper am Rhein is hosting its first milonga—everyone is invited to come and dance on the main stage of the Düsseldorf Opera House.
The DJ is Jonas Maria Joma. Surprises await from tango singer Alejandro Guyot from Buenos Aires and bandoneonista Carmela Delgado from Paris, as well as tango professionals Agostina Tarchini and Mariano Agustín Messad from the birthplace of Argentine tango.

Absolutely! This is where the heart of tango beats! The milongas are open and welcome everyone. At 8:00 p.m., Agostina Tarchini and Mariano Agustín Messad will demonstrate some of the first steps for the famous “walking in an embrace,” which will prepare you for dancing on the main stage.
