Description
Französischer Barock
In the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker's popular baroque matinee, members of the orchestra this time dedicate themselves to the music of the French Baroque, in which the flute plays an important role. In addition to François Devienne's Flute Concerto No. 7 in E minor, the concert programme also includes excerpts from André Campra's opéra-ballet "Fêtes vénitiennes", a small-scale subgenre of French baroque opera for a chamber music ensemble, soprano and baritone, which premiered in 1710.
