Bill Katz lebt und arbeitet in New York und New Mexico. Renommierte Künstler wie Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Cy Twombly oder Anselm Kiefer beauftragten ihn mit Ausstellungsdesigns und zogen ihn als ästhetischen Berater für ihre Ateliers und Wohnräume hinzu. Zu seinen jüngsten Projekten gehören das in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Architekten Max Gordon entworfene Fisher Landau Center in Long Island City und die Gestaltung der Ausstellungsräume für zeitgenössische Kunst im Archäologischen Nationalmuseum Neapel. Darüber hinaus entwarf Katz Kostüm- und Bühnenbilder für zeitgenössische Tanzensembles weltweit, darunter das Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater („Fever Swamp“ von Bill T. Jones), Jennifer Muller/The Works („City“ von Jennifer Muller) und Nederlands Dans Theater („Symphony of Psalms“ von Jiøí Kylián).

Bill Katz lives and works in New York and New Mexico. Renowned artists like Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Cy Twombly or Anselm Kiefer have commissioned exhibition designs from him and harnessed him into their plans for studios and living space. Among his most recent projects have been the Fisher Landau Center in Long Island City designed in collaboration with the architect Max Gordon and the design of the exhibition rooms for contemporary art in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples. At the same time Bill Katz has designed sets and costumes for contemporary dance companies all over the world, including the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (“Fever Swamp” by Bill T. Jones), Jennifer Muller/The Works (“City” by Jennifer Muller) and Nederlands Dans Theater (“Symphony of Psalms” by Jiøí Kylián).
