Christina Geiger

Christina Geiger, born in 1992, completed a master's degree in costume and fashion design as well as textile design at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences with Prof. Reinhard von der Thannen. Her costumes have been seen in productions at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Theater Oberhausen, ETA Hoffmann Theater in Bamberg and Kampnagel Internationale Kulturfabrik in Hamburg, among others. The freelance costume designer works for theatres and opera houses and, since 2016, regularly with director Maurice Lenhard. As part of this collaboration, she designed the costumes for "Cinderella" (Rossini) at the Cologne Chamber Opera and "The Threepenny Opera" (Brecht/Weill) at the Vienna Volksoper, for example.
At the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Christina Geiger is responsible for the costume design of the current production of Rossini's "Il barbiere di Siviglia" directed by Maurice Lenhard.
