Anke Krabbe

Soloist
Anke Krabbe studied at the colleges in Schwerin and Cologne with Prof. Edda Moser and attended numerous master classes. The soprano gained her first operatic experience at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg in August Everding's production of Mozart's "The Magic Flute". After engagements in Bielefeld and Münster, she joined the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in the 2000/01 season. Here she sings a broad repertoire ranging from Baroque to Classical and Romantic to Modern and a large number of world premieres. Numerous guest appearances have taken her to various national and international opera houses and festivals in Berlin, Munich, Bern, Stockholm, Catania, Montpellier, Beijing and Taipei, among others. Her repertoire includes, among many other roles, Pamina (Mozart "The Magic Flute"), Gretel (Humperdinck "Hansel and Gretel"), Micaëla (Bizet "Carmen"), Woglinde, Helmwige and Gutrune (Wagner "The Ring of the Nibelung"), Liù (Puccini "Turandot"), Antonia (Offenbach "Les Contes d'Hoffmann"), Sophie (R. Strauss "Der Rosenkavalier"), Frau Fluth (Nicolai "Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor"), Rosalinde (J. Strauss Sohn "Die Fledermaus") and Ein Mädchen (Ullmann "Der Kaiser von Atlantis"). In 2023 she made her debut as Contessa Almaviva (Mozart "Le nozze di Figaro"). In the 2023/24 season Anke Krabbe will be performing at Deutsche Oper am Rhein in the open air concert "Oper für alle", Berta in Rossini's "Il barbiere di Siviglia" and again as Gretel, Liù, 2nd Flower Girl (Wagner "Parsifal") and Pamina.
