Pedro Maricato

Pedro Maricato is from Brazil. He trained as a dancer at Pavilhão D Centro de Artes in São Paulo and, from 2014 to 2016, at Amanda Bennett's renowned ballet school at Theater Basel. He won prizes at the Brazilian Festival de Dança de Joinville and first prize at Danzamerica in Argentina in 2013, and was a finalist in the New York Youth American Grand Prix. In 2014, Pedro Maricato took part in the 42nd Prix de Lausanne. He then trained and danced with various companies, including in Toulouse and Switzerland.
Pedro Maricato has been a member of the Ballett am Rhein company since the 2017/18 season. Here he danced in John Neumeier's “From time to time,” Balanchine's “The Four Temperaments,” Demis Volpi's choreography “A simple piece,” as the companion of the Snow Queen in “The Nutcracker,” and as Krabat and Lobosch in “Krabat.” He also danced in Aszure Barton's “Come In,” Twyla Tharp's “Commentaries on the Floating World,” Gil Harush's “Don't look at the jar,” and Marcos Morau's “Le sacre du printemps.” Most recently, he has appeared in George Balanchine's “Rubies,” Hans van Manen's “Four Schumann Pieces,” Mthuthuzeli November's “Invocation” and Jean-Christophe Maillot's “Vers un Pays Sage” among others.
