Rubén Cabaleiro Campo

Born in Galicia (Spain), dancer Rubén Cabaleiro Campo trained at the Centro de Danza Víctor Ullate in Madrid. He gained his first experiences as a professional dancer in the ensemble of the Víctor Ullate Ballet in 2004/05. This was followed by a two-year engagement at Heinz Spoerli’s Zürich Ballet and in 2007 he joined the ballet company at Hannover State Opera. His repertoire includes works choreographed by William Forsythe, Hans van Manen, Johan Inger, Mauro Bigonzetti, Nils Christe, Maurice Béjart, Mario Schröder, Heinz Spoerli, Víctor Ullate and Jörg Mannes, amongst others. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, Rubén Cabaleiro Campo became a member of Ballett am Rhein company, where he has danced leading roles in ballets by Martin Schläpfer, Jerome Robbins, Remus Şucheană, Martin Goecke und Natalia Horecna. He has recently appeared in Aszure Barton’s ‘Come In’ and ‘Baal’ and also in Demis Volpi’s ‘The Nutcracker’, ‘A simple piece’ and the Lady in Green in ‘Geschlossene Spiele’.
