Soprano Mara Guseynova, winner of international competitions in Estonia, Latvia, Russia and Austria, was born in Baku in 1998. Already during her training in Azerbaijan, she repeatedly performed with the State Chamber Orchestra and the Youth Symphony Orchestra. She first completed music college in her home country and was then accepted as a doctoral student in the class of Prof. Uta Schwabe at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (MUK). In 2022 she successfully completed the master's programme in solo singing there. At the invitation of the Sacramento Youth Symphony, she performed in Sacramento in November 2017 under the musical direction of Mustafa Mehmandarov and returned to California in 2018 for several concerts in Sacramento and Los Angeles. In 2019, she performed in Bratislava and also sang the soprano part in J.M. Haydn's "Requiem in C minor" and participated as Maria in the production of Gluck's "L'ivrogne corrigé". She previously appeared on the MUK stage as Rezia in Gluck's "La rencontre imprévue".
