Eduardo Aladrén

Soloist
Spanish tenor Eduardo Aladrén studied at the Conservatory of his hometown Zaragoza, at the Madrid Conservatory of Music and at the School of Music Bloomington (Indiana University, USA). He has sung more than 25 different major tenor roles on numerous stages in the USA and Europe, including Don José (Bizet "Carmen"), Werther (Massenet), Nicias (Massenet "Thaïs"), Don Carlo (Verdi), Alfredo (Verdi "La traviata"), Radamès (Verdi "Aida"), Alvaro (Verdi "La forza del destino"), Alfredo Germont (Verdi "La traviata"), Andrea Chénier (Giordano), Maurizio (Cilea "Adriana Lecouvreur"), the Puccini roles Rodolfo ("La Bohème"), Cavaradossi ("Tosca"), Luigi ("Il tabarro"), Pinkerton ("Madama Butterfly") and Calaf ("Turandot") as well as Canio (Leoncavallo "Pagliacci"), Lenski (Tchaikovsky "Eugene Onegin") and Rodolpho (Bolcom "A View from the Bridge"). Guest engagements have taken him to opera houses in Weimar, Essen, Kassel, Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Oslo, Bergen, Prague, Moscow, Tokyo, Bonn, Chicago, Mallorca, St. Gallen, Bilbao, Riga, Palm Beach, Calgary, Ottawa, the Philharmonie am Gasteig Munich and the Tonhalle Zurich. Since the 2019/20 season he has been a member of the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where he has so far interpreted the roles of Rodolfo, Cavaradossi, Alfredo Germont, Don José and Pinkerton, among others. In 2021 he debuted as Turiddu (Mascagni "Cavalleria Rusticana") at the Finnish National Opera House in Helsinki and in 2022 as Ismaele (Verdi "Nabucco") at the Teatro Real in Madrid. Eduardo Aladrén can be seen on stage as Cavaradossi, Maurizio and Macduff at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in the 2022/23 season and will be a guest at the Leipzig Opera, among others.
