Victoria Behr, born in Koblenz in 1979, studied costume design with Prof. Dirk von Bodisco at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. A freelance costume designer since 2008, she has worked with directors such as Jan Bosse, Herbert Fritsch, Barrie Kosky, Peter Carp, Matthias Hartmann, Niklaus Helbling, Marcus Lobbes, Stefan Pucher, Benedict Andrews and Antú Romero Nunes, among others. at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg Platz, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, Burgtheater Wien, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Thalia Theater Hamburg, Residenztheater München, Opern- und Schauspielhaus Zürich, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Theater Basel, Schauspiel Köln, Theater Bremen, Young Vic Theatre in London, Komische Oper Berlin, Bayerische and Wiener Staatsoper and Opéra de Lyon as well as at De Nationale Opera Amsterdam, Det Kongelige Teater in Copenhagen, English National Opera and the Salzburg Festival. Victoria Behr has been named Costume Designer of the Year several times since 2011 by the magazine Opernwelt and in the critics' poll of the magazine Theater heute.
She also presents her costume design at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Barrie Kosky's "Orpheus in der Unterwelt" (Offenbach).
