15. November 2019 - 15. February 2020
Masterclasses with leading international artists are once again part of this season’s Opera Studio programme. Each spends every day for a week working intensively with the Opera Studio and passing on their knowledge as singers and singing teachers to a younger generation. Their aim is always to support the members of the Opera Studio as much as possible in preparing them for the profession. The courses give these young singers the chance to work on their individual repertoire and focus on specific stylistic or technical issues, but above all to use the protected space of the masterclass to ask questions, try things out and benefit from the experience of their mastercourse teachers.
Alongside ensemble member Linda Watson, who works regularly with the Opera Studio, in 2019/20 the Dutch singing teacher Margreet Honig, German baritone Michael Volle and Argentinian mezzo soprano Bernarda Fink will each work with the young singers of the Opera Studio. As usual these one week courses will conclude with the popular masterclass concerts in which the audience can gain an impression of the repertoire that has been worked on and appreciate the development of these talented young singers.
