Devi-Ananda, born in Berlin in 1993, took on the role of the young Cosette in the musical “Les Misérables” (Schönberg) at the Theater des Westens in Berlin when she was only nine years old. In 2016, she graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts with a diploma and honors in voice, acting, and dance. She has won numerous singing competitions, including first prize at “Jugend musiziert” in the pop singing category, as well as the “Förderpreis” Award in 2013 and first prize in 2015 at the National Singing Competition (Musical/Chanson).
While still a student, Devi-Ananda played the role of Marie in “Timm Thaler” (Herberger/Naidoo) at the Staatstheater Darmstadt. Further roles include: Dorothea/Little Red Riding Hood in “Grimm! The True Story of Little Red Riding Hood and Her Wolf” (Zaufke) at the Neuköllner Oper, Natalie in “Next to Normal” (Kitt) at the Renaissance Theater Berlin, Farah in “The Physician” (Martin) at the Schlosstheater Fulda, Penny Pingleton in the touring production of “Hairspray” (Shaiman), as well as R’eye in the “VIVID Grand Show” at the Friedrichstadtpalast Berlin and the title role in “Pippi Longstocking” (Wittenbrink) at the Komische Oper Berlin. Devi-Ananda is an experienced concert, studio, and gala singer—including performances with the Capital Dance Orchestra Berlin, as well as in film, television, and radio drama productions. Her guest appearance on the hit YouTube channel “Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox” took her to Los Angeles, among other places. As a backup singer, Devi-Ananda performs with artists such as Bell Book & Candle, Jane Comerford, Gayle Tufts, Karat, Sebastian Hämer, Ass-Dur, and Bodo Wartke, and highly sought-after vocal coach throughout Germany.
