Born in Italy in 1993, Andrea D’Alonzo attended the G. B. Martini Conservatory of Music in Bologna beginning in 2003 and graduated in 2012 with top honors. During his final years of study, he began working as an accompanist in the violin, flute, trumpet, and voice classes, and in 2012 he accompanied the choir in the conservatory’s performance of Stravinsky’s “Psalm Mass.” From 2013 to 2015, he worked as a piano coach at the Bologna Conservatory, accompanying students in voice and instrumental classes and serving as artistic and musical director for the annual projects of the composition classes. After completing one-year courses in piano accompaniment at the music schools in Parma and Imola, he earned a master’s degree in piano with a specialization in piano accompaniment at the Lübeck University of Music from 20219 to 2021, where he also continued his training as a vocal accompanist. From 2021 to 2024, he was first a member of the Lübeck Opera Studio and subsequently a répétiteur with conducting duties at the Theater Osnabrück. Since the 2024/25 season, Andrea D’Alonzo has held the same position at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
