The soprano Anke Krabbe trained at the Conservatoires in Schwerin and Cologne (Prof. Edda Moser) and attended numerous master courses. She gained her first experiences of opera at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg in August Everding’s production of The Magic Flute. Following engagements in Bielefeld and Münster, she has been an ensemble member at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein since 2000/01. Here she sings a broad repertoire ranging from Baroque to the classical period, the Romantics to modern music including several world premieres. This includes parts such as Pamina (Mozart ‘Die Zauberflöte’), Atalanta (Handel ‘Xerxes’), Gretel (Humperdinck ‘Hänsel und Grete’“), Woglinde, Helmwige and Gutrune (Wagner ‘Ring des Nibelungen’), Antonia (Offenbach ‘Les Contes d’Hoffmann’), Lauretta (Puccini ‘Gianni Schicchi’), Sophie (Strauss ‘Rosenkavalier’) as which she appeared as a guest in Taipei and Stockholm, Micaela (Bizet ‘Carmen’), Frau Fluth (Nicolai ‘Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor’), Rosalinde (Strauss ‘Die Fledermaus’), A Girl (Ullmann ‘Der Kaiser von Atlantis’), Berta (Rossini ‘Il barbiere di Siviglia’), the Wife (Bach ‘Weihnachtsoratorium’) and Liu (Puccini ‘Turandot’), as which she also gave guest performances in Taiwan. Further guest performances have also taken her to many opera houses, concert halls and festivals, including the Eutin Festival, Deutsche Oper and Staatsoper Berlin, Wiesbaden, Munich, Darmstadt, Bonn, Bern, Catania and Montpellier. As well as appearing in opera, she regularly gives Lied recitals in the foyer and is very active as a concert singer.
