Born in Paris, Cécile Tallec studied piano and piano accompaniment at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et danse in her home city, graduating with distinction in 1993. Between 1999 and 2002 she worked at the Centre de formation lyrique de L'Opéra national de Paris with renowned artists such as Janine Reiss, Teresa Berganza, Christa Ludwig and Joan Dornemann. Since the 2002/03 season, Cécile Tallec has been engaged as a répétiteur at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. She has participated in numerous recitals and opera concerts here and at the Opéra national de Paris. In 2010, she interpreted music by Willie "The Lion" Smith in Twyla Tharp's "Baker's Dozen" in the Ballett am Rhein's production b.04, as well as Maurice Ravel's composition of the same name for solo piano in Kurt Jooss' "Pavane auf den Tod einer Infantin". In 2012, her interpretation of Mozart's Adagio from the Piano Concerto in A major KV 488 to Hans van Manen's choreography "The Old Man and Me" followed in the ballet production b.12, as well as César Franck's "Variations Symphoniques" in the ballet evening b.25 in the 2015/16 season, among others. In addition, Cécile Tallec regularly performs as a pianist in chamber concerts and in the series "Symphoniker im Foyer" as well as in the context of Liedmatineen at the Foyer Düsseldorf.
