Davide Battiniello

Born in 1996, Italian tenor Davide Battiniello began studying singing at the Conservatorio di Musica San Pietro a Maiella in Naples. He is currently studying under Francesca Patané, Marco Chingari, Giuseppe Polese, and Andrea Carnevale. He has attended masterclasses with Katia Ricciarelli and Marcelo Álvarez, among others, and is a finalist and prize winner of singing competitions such as the 9th International Opera Singing Competition “Città di Ravello” and the Cuore d'Oro Competition.
Since joining the Jubilate Deo Associazione Musicale in 2015, the young singer began pursuing an intense concert activity. In 2018, he made his debut at the Etna Opera Festival and the following year performed as a soloist in Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle at the renowned Sala Scarlatti of the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples, among other venues. Further engagements took him to the Puccini Academy at the Festival Puccini Torre del Lago, where he made his debut in the Puccini roles of the Mandarin in “Turandot” and Crébillon in “La Rondine.” As part of a tour of “Turandot – Enigmi al Museo”, a children's production based on Puccini's opera of the same name, he sang the role of Prince Calaf and performed in numerous Italian theaters.
His recent successes include performances at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, the title role in Mascagni's “L'Amico Fritz” at the Opus Opera Festival with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, the role of Cavaradossi in Puccini's “Tosca” in the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma's OperaCamion project, and his debut at the Estonian National Opera as
Pinkerton in Puccini's “Madama Butterfly”. In the 2025/26 season, he will appear for the first time at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as Prince Kalaf in “Turandot” (Puccini).
