The Junge Oper am Rhein offers various projects for children and young people during the autumn and Easter holidays.

EXPEDITION THEATRE
We invite you to join us on a three-day expedition behind the scenes of opera and ballet: How is an opera actually created? How often do ballet dancers rehearse? And since when has it been possible to play opera games in the UFO?
Together, we will explore these questions – and try out lots of things for ourselves: in the opera house and other exciting locations.
When? 30.03 – 01.04.2026, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. each day
Where? Düsseldorf Opera House , meeting point: stage entrance (Ludwig-Zimmermann-Straße, opposite the Steigenberger Hotel)
Who? Children aged 7–12
Cost: €50 per child, lunch included

LET’S PLAY!
How is theatre created? We invent stories, develop characters, choose music and discover how they move, speak, sing and dance. In the Easter holiday workshop, we start from scratch and playfully immerse ourselves in the basics of theatre, singing and dance. Everything can be tried out!
