Charlotte Langner made her debut as a teenager at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf and as the Second Boy in Mozart’s *The Magic Flute* at the Theater Krefeld/Mönchengladbach. She was a violist in the North Rhine-Westphalia State Youth Orchestra and, while still in high school, a young student of Juliane Banse at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf (RSH) as part of the program for highly gifted students. After completing her bachelor’s degree at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and a master’s degree at the RSH under Konrad Jarnot, she is now pursuing a program of excellence at the RSH.
She has participated in numerous masterclasses, is a prize winner of the Berlin National Singing Competition in the junior category, a multiple national prize winner of “Jugend musiziert,” and received the special prize from the Walter and Charlotte Hamel Foundation. Charlotte Langner made her debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as Uli in Lucia Ronchetti’s “Das fliegende Klassenzimmer” during the 2023/2024 season. She recently drew attention with her performance alongside Rolando Villazón in the “Mozart 270” concert at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf.
In the 2025/26 season, she will appear as Papagena in “Die Zauberflöte”, Taumännchen in “Hänsel und Gretel”, Luigia in “Prima la Mamma", Ida in “Die Fledermaus”, Sarahil in „Die Königin von Saba", Die Schleppenträgerin in „Elektra", Barbarina in „Le nozze di Figaro“ and Käpt'n Flughörnchen in „Die blaue Sau", as well as in the matinee “Ingeborg Bachmann zum Geburtstag”, where she will sing the world premiere of a song cycle by Thomas Blomenkamp with texts by Ingeborg Bachmann. At the “musik:landschaft westfalen” music festival, she will perform in the concert “Rolando Villazón – Spanish Night.” During the 2026/27 season, Charlotte Langner will make her German Opera on the Rhine role debut as the Queen of the Night in “Die Zauberflöte.”
