Rosie Aldridge
            Mezzo-soprano Rosie Aldridge made her debut at the Royal Opera House,  Covent Garden as Praskovya Osipovna, saleswoman and television announcer in  Dmitri Shostakovich's "The Nose" and has since appeared as Mrs Sedley  in "Peter Grimes", Aksinya in "Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk",  the Beggar Woman in "Death in Venice" and in the world premiere of  "The Monstrous Child" as the giantess Angrboda. Her other engagements  include Kabanicha ("Katya Kabanova") at the Teatro de Liceu in  Barcelona, Baba the Turk ("The Rake's Progress") and Marcellina  ("Le nozze di Figaro") at the Glyndebourne Festival, Mrs. Sedley ("Peter  Grimes") at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Nellie Dean ("Wuthering  Heights") at the Opéra national de Lorraine and Gertrud ("Hansel and  Gretel") and Aksinya ("Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk") at the English  National Opera. Among the conductors Rosie Aldridge has worked with are Sir  Antonio Pappano, Sir Mark Elder, Simone Young, Kirill Petrenko, Mark  Wigglesworth and Semyon Bychkov. Directors include Deborah Warner CBE, Dmitri  Tcherniakov, Sir David McVicar, Richard Jones, David Alden, Claus Guth and  Barrie Kosky. From 2016 to 2018, she was a member of the ensemble at the Vienna  State Opera. In the coming seasons, the mezzo-soprano will return to the Royal  Opera House, the Opéra national de Lorraine and the Teatro Real in Madrid. She  will also make her debuts at the Hamburg State Opera, the Dutch National Opera  and the German State Opera in Berlin. Most recently, Rosie Aldridge made her  debut at the Opèra national de Paris as Mrs Sedley in "Peter Grimes"  and at the Canadian Opera Company as Mary in "Der fliegende Holländer".  She also returns to the Glyndebourne Festival as Hippolyta in "A Midsummer  Night's Dream" and to the Royal Opera House as Marget in  "Wozzeck". She was last seen in Stuttgart as the Witch in  "Hansel and Gretel" and will make her debut at the Deutsche Oper am  Rhein in 2023/24 as the Sextoness in "Jenůfa".
