Bogdan Taloş is from Cluj-Napoca in Romania. He studied at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy until 2005, attended various masterclasses, and has won numerous singing competitions. Before becoming a member of the ensemble at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, he appeared in roles such as Donizetti's Don Pasquale, Escamillo (Bizet's “Carmen”), and Ferrando (Verdi's “Il Trovatore”) at various opera houses in Romania and made guest appearances as Sarastro (Mozart's “Die Zauberflöte”) at the St. Margarethen Opera Festival in Austria. He was also a member of the opera studio at the Komische Oper Berlin. His concert repertoire includes the requiem settings by Mozart, Verdi, and Brahms, as well as Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Taloş regularly performs at opera houses such as Opéra national de Paris, Staatsoper Hamburg, and Deutsche Oper Berlin. He made his debut as Conte Rodolfo (Bellini's “La sonnambula”) at Semperoper Dresden in 2023. He made his house debut at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London as Monterone (Verdi's “Rigoletto”). Last season (2024/25), he made his house debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and San Francisco Opera as Colline (Puccini's “La bohéme”) and debuted at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg with Verdi's “Messa da Requiem”.
During the 2025/26 season, Bogdan Taloş will appear in productions including “Die Königin von Saba” as Le Roi Soliman, “Il trovatore” as Ferrando, and “Le nozze di Figaro” as Figaro. He will also make his debut at the Dutch National Opera in “I Capuleti e I Montecchi” and will appear at the Komische Oper Berlin as Prince Gremin (Tchaikovsky's “Eugen Onegin”) and at the KLANGVOKAL Music Festival in Dortmund.
