The programme ‘Oper und Spiele’ is intended to open up a playful and straightforward approach to the art of opera for children aged 4 and over.
The programme contains a visit to a performance and individual workshop blocks based around music theatre that can be combined in a variety of different ways:
In consultation with the staff, the Junge Oper will put together an individual programme with several dates for each kindergarten. The children who take part will be able as a group to discover Opernhaus Düsseldorf, Theater Duisburg or our mobile venue the “UFO” as an experiential space using a play-based approach.
Bringing games and instruments along with them, teachers of music theatre and musicians will come to the kindergartens and establish a personal rapport with the children. This work will focus on artistic, creative and musical processes.
