Patrick Fuchs
Patrick Fuchs was born in Nuremberg and became interested in lighting design while studying theater and musicology. During this time, he worked for independent theater groups, television and numerous theaters in the Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen region. After completing his studies, he worked primarily in the dance sector for companies and choreographers such as Neuer Tanz Düsseldorf, Meg Stuart and Rui Horta, both nationally and internationally.
After successfully passing his exams to become a lighting and later a stage manager, he worked for the cultural program of the German pavilion at the Expo 2000 in Hanover, for various festivals, as well as repeatedly for the Ruhrtriennale and the Staatstheater Mainz and Braunschweig, for example with Hans Neuenfels, Robert Wilson, Georges Delnon and Martin Schläpfer.
Patrick Fuchs has been a lighting inspector at the Musiktheater im Revier since 2006 and head of the lighting department since 2014. Here he works with the directors Roland Schwab, Elisabeth Stöppler and General Director Michael Schulz as well as the set designers Kathrin Brose, Dieter Richter and Hermann Feuchter. His collaboration with Bridget Breiner resulted in the ballets “Ruß” and “Schwanensee”, among others.
