St. Ursula Gymnasium school concert

For many years, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and the St. Ursula Gymnasium have maintained a close musical partnership. A special highlight of this collaboration is the joint matinee, during which young musicians from the school orchestra share the stage with vocal soloists from the opera.

Titled “Veiled – Unveiled” this year’s program—featuring music from *Die Fledermaus*, *The Merry Widow*, and *The Phantom of the Opera*—centers on masks and masquerades—and on the question of what lies behind the beautiful facade.

For the students, it is a special joy and honor every year to make music together with the opera’s professionals and to share the grand stage of the opera house with them. Look forward to a varied matinee full of sound, charm, and surprising revelations!

Program:
Johann Strauss: Die Fledermaus
Jacques Offenbach: The Tales of Hoffmann
