Marjolaine Laurendeau

French dancer Marjolaine Laurendeau trained at the Centre de danse classique Line-Jenny Neel in Albi, at the ballet school of John Neumeier’s Hamburg Ballett and on a summer intensive with Canada’s National Ballet School. With Hamburg Ballett she danced in August Bournonville’s ‘Napoli’ and John Neumeier’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’, ‘Yondering’ and ‘Eine Reise durch die Jahreszeiten’. From 2015 to 2017 she was a member of the Junior Ballett Zürich, where she performed in ‘Anna Karenina’, ‘Nussknacker und Mausekönig’ and ‘Romeo and Julia’ by Ballet Director Christian Spuck as well as in Alexei Ratmansky’s ‘Swan Lake’ and works choreographed by Kevin Haigen, Jiří Kylián, Filipe Portugal, Cayetano Soto, Demis Volpi and others. Marjolaine Laurendeau became a member of the Ballett am Rhein company at the start of the 2018/19 season, and recently danced in Demis Volpi’s productions ‘The Nutcracker’ and ‘A simple piece’.
