Julia Schinke

Born in Munich, Julia Schinke studied dramaturgy at the Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich from 2016 to 2019. She completed internships with the Kevin O'Day Ballet at the National Theater Mannheim, the press department of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Bavarian State Ballet under the direction of Ivan Liška. During her studies she was responsible for the dramaturgy of the production “Artaserse” (directed by Balázs Kovalik) for the reopening of the Margravial Opera House Bayreuth. During her studies, she was awarded the Klaus Zehelein Prize for young dramaturges. First as an assistant, then as a dramaturg, she worked for three seasons at Theater Koblenz starting in the summer of 2019, where she oversaw plays from the musical theater, ballet, drama, and puppet theater divisions. Since the 2022/23 season, Julia Schinke has been working as a dramaturg for the Ballett am Rhein.
