Feline van Dijken

Feline van Dijken studied at the Royal Ballet School of the Hague, at the Heinz Bosl Foundation in Munich and also on summer courses at the Royal Ballet, London and the Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive. Ivan Liška signed her up in 2005 for the corps de ballet of the Bavarian State Ballet, where she appeared in ‘Giselle’, ‘Raymonda’, ‘La Bayadère’, ‘La Dame aux Camélias’, Michel Fokine’s ‘Shéhérazade’, Hans van Manen’s ‘Große Fuge’ and the world premiere of Martin Schläpfer’s ‘Violakonzert/II’ as well as works choreographed by Lucinda Childs, Itzik Galili, Jacopo Godani and Jiří Kylián. She became a member of Ballett am Rhein company in 2009, where she attracted attention in works choreographed by George Balanchine, Kurt Jooss, Regina van Berkel, Nils Christe, Merce Cunningham, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Hans van Manen, Martin Schläpfer and Twyla Tharp. She also danced leading roles in ‘Mozartiana’ by George Balanchine and ‘The Concert’ by Jerome Robbins. Most recently she has danced the roles of Mrs. Smith in Andrey Kaydanovskiy’s ‘Die kahle Sängerin’, the Pianist in Flemming Flindt’s ‘The Lesson’ and the Mother in Demis Volpi’s ‘The Nutcracker’, as well as in Twyla Tharp’s ‘Commentaries on the Floating World’ and ‘Spectrum’ by Juanjo Arqués.
