Bogdan Taloș comes from Cluj-Napoca in Romania. The bass graduated from the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy there in 2005, attended various master classes and has won prizes at numerous renowned singing competitions. Before becoming an ensemble member of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in the 2014/15 season, he began his professional career at the opera houses in Cluj-Napoca and Craiova. His repertoire includes, among others. the Mozart roles Figaro ("Le nozze di Figaro"), Leporello ("Don Giovanni") and Sarastro ("The Magic Flute"), Donizetti's Don Pasquale, Raimondo ("Lucia di Lammermoor") and Talbot ("Maria Stuarda"), Verdi's Ferrando ("Il trovatore"), Banco ("Macbeth"), Marquis d'Obigny ("La traviata"), Il Re ("Aida") and Filippo II. ("Don Carlo") as well as Sir Giorgio (Bellini "I puritani"), Alidoro (Rossini "La Cenerentola"), Hermann / Schlemihl (Offenbach "Les Contes d'Hoffmann"), Frère Laurent (Gounod "Roméo et Juliette"), Fasolt (Wagner "Das Rheingold"), Colline and Schaunard (Puccini "La Bohème"), Truffaldin (R. Strauss "Ariadne auf Naxos"), Herold (Prokofiev "The Love for Three Oranges"), Count Boyazovich (Kálmán "The Duchess of Chicago"), Monk (Schreier "Too bad she was a whore") and the title role in Bartók's "Duke Bluebeard's Castle".
He has made guest appearances at opera houses such as the Opéra National de Paris, Komische Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Hamburg and Deutsche Oper Berlin. He made his debut as Conte Rodolfo (Bellini "La sonnambula") at the Semperoper in Dresden in 2023, where he can also be heard as Caronte in Monteverdi's "L'Orfeo".
In the 2023/24 season Bogdan Taloș will interpret the title role in Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin" at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and can be heard as Basilio in Rossini's "Il barbiere di Siviglia". He is guesting as Monterone (Verdi's "Rigoletto") at the Royal Opera House in London.
