Together with Suzanne Andrade, Paul Barritt forms the multi-award-winning theater group "1927", which integrates performance, music and animation into its theatrical work. The year 1927 is the year of the first sound film: "The Jazz Singer with Al Jolson". In all the celebrated theater works of 1927 - "Between the devil and the deep blue sea", "The animals and children took to the streets", Mozart's "The Magic Flute" and "Golem" - Paul Barritt was responsible for film, animation and design. For "Golem" he won the Critic's Circle Award for Best Design and the Knight of the Illumination Award for Best Projections. In addition to his work with "1927", Paul Barritt also collaborates with Musik Fabrik Köln on animated new music concerts such as the "Krazy Kat Project" and his short film "White Morning" (2013) was screened at festivals such as Sundance, Melbourne International Film Festival and the London Short Film Festival. In addition, Paul Barritt has collaborated with the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, for which he animated images by Dennis van Alsloot. He also lectures on animation and illustration at Middlesex University London. In 2015, Suzanne Andrade and Paul Barritt were named on the Progress 1000 list of the most important people in London and on The Stage 100 List of the most influential artists in British theater. Most recently, they co-produced an evening of Stravinsky's "Petrushka" and Ravel's "L'enfant et les Sortilèges" with Komische Oper Berlin and Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
