Much more than mouth to mouth!
A kiss is a promise, a symbol, a beginning or an end, fleeting and yet enduring. A kiss imprints itself on the skin as well as the mind. Hardly any other gesture seems so universal, so natural from childhood, from the first kiss of the mother to the last kiss of death. The moment when two circles nestle against each other, a celestial body against its orbit, called osculation from the Latin word for kissing, shows us: we are surrounded by a world that is always in contact, whose curves meet again and again in this unique touch.
Dominique Dumais enters into dialogue with the dancers with her movement language that explores the body and creates for the first time for the Ballett am Rhein with this world premiere.
