The best stories come from real life – that's what Marylou firmly believes. The confident daughter of an American film producer leaves Hollywood behind without a second thought. And indeed – in a grand hotel in the south of France, she finds not only a grand fairy tale worth telling, but also a cast that the dream factory could not have imagined more beautifully: an eccentric infanta, her cocky fiancé and a swooning hotel heir who stumbles through the proceedings undercover as a room waiter. Love, vanity, jealousy – it’s all there! And so it’s soon “Action – Take One” for the anticipated blockbuster…

Paul Abraham, the operetta king of the Weimar Republic, has crafted the most delightful musical confection for his “fairy tale”, full of wit and sparkling groove: jazz, tango, foxtrot and waltz bring pizzazz to the lobby. Grand emotions? Yes. Irony? Absolutely. And of course: a happy, happy, happy, happy ending!
