German-Greek soprano Anna Sophia Theil studied voice with Prof. Gabriele Fuchs in Munich and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. She participated in masterclasses with artists such as Edith Mathis, Linda Watson, François Le Roux, and Charles Spencer. In 2020, she won the IMMCC International Vocal Competition in Maribor and was a finalist in the Schubert and Hugo Wolf competitions. From 2022 to 2024, she was a member of the Opera Studio at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, joining the company's ensemble in the 2024/25 season. There, she performs roles such as Pamina, Gretel, Susanna, Adele, and Musetta. Guest engagements have taken her to cities including Aachen, Hagen, Erfurt, and Remscheid. She also performs regularly as a concert and art song singer in renowned concert halls.

In the current season, she can be seen at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as Ines (Verdi’s "Il trovatore"). Following an appearance at the Haniel Klassik Open Air, the upcoming season will see her perform the roles of Catalina (Reynolds' "Die Mitternachtstür"), Musetta (Puccini’s "La Bohème"), and Frasquita (Bizet’s "Carmen"), as well as reprising the roles of Pamina (Mozart’s "Die Zauberflöte"), Gretel (Humperdinck’s "Hänsel und Gretel"), and Susanna (Mozart’s "Le nozze di Figaro"). She will also participate in a vocal recital.
