Márcio Mota

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Márcio Mota completed his training at the National Conservatory Dance School. After participating in the Prix De Lausanne, he was invited to join the NRW Junior Ballet in Dortmund in 2018 and three years later, in 2021, he was accepted into the main company of Ballett Dortmund, where he danced until the summer of 2024. Here he was seen on stage in works such as “The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude” by William Forsythe, “Romeo and Juliet” by Jean-Cristophe Maillot, “Dust” by Akram Khan, “A Midsummer Night's Dream” by Alexander Ekman, “Swan Lake” by Xin Peng Wang, “Metamorphosis” and “Affairs of the Heart” by David Dawson and “Eden Eden” by Wayne McGregor. Márcio Mota joined Ballett am Rhein in the 2024/2025 season.
