The young Romanian baritone Constantin Moței completed his vocal training at the “Gheorghe Dima” National Academy of Music in his hometown of Cluj-Napoca, where he studied classical singing. During his training, he took part in numerous masterclasses in lyrical singing and honed his skills under the guidance of renowned teachers.
He made his stage debut in 2021 at the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca in the role of Filiberto in Gioachino Rossini's “Il signor Bruschino”. Since then, he has appeared there in several other roles from opera and musical theatre, including Antonio (Mozart's “Le Nozze di Figaro”) and Masetto (Mozart's “Don Giovanni”), Maximilian Dettweiler (Richard Rodgers' “The Sound of Music”), Colonel Hugh Pickering (Frederick Loewe's “My Fair Lady”) and as a soloist in the contemporary opera “Waste Side Story” (T. Schuster, D. Gröninger and D.).
He also made his debut at the National Opera in Bucharest as Jake Wallace in Giacomo Puccini's “La fanciulla del West”.

At the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Constantin Moței will appear on stage in the 2025/26 season as the Second Apprentice (Berg's “Wozzeck”), Moralès (Bizet's “Carmen”) and Schoolboy Carlo / Fairy (Schötz/Meinhold's “Pinocchio”), among other roles, and will also be heard in the opera studio's masterclass concerts.
