Long Zou

With the ensemble since 2023/24

Long Zou began his dance training at the Guang Zhou Art School in China and continues at the Central School of Ballet in London. In 2007, he reached the semi-finals of the Prix de Lausanne. He danced numerous title roles with Jinxing Dance Theatre, Shanghai 2013 - 2015 and Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo Company, New York City 2009-2011 and 2016-2019. He toured internationally with the companies in countries such as Australia, Germany, Japan, Spain, USA, Italy, Hungary, France, Mexico and many more. From 2019-2023, Long Zou is a permanent member and soloist in the dance ensemble of Richard Siegal / Ballet of Difference at Schauspiel Köln.

Since joining Ballett am Rhein in the 2023/24 season, he has appeared in, among others, Dominique Dumais’ "A Kiss to the World", Bridget Breiner’s "Biolographie" and "Pavane pour une infante défunte", Richard Siegal’s "La Valse", Lesley Telford’s "Threshold of a Fall", and Goyo Montero’s "Aurea". In recognition of his outstanding interpretation of Mthuthuzeli November’s "Invocation", he was also nominated for the German theatre award DER FAUST in 2025.
