Futaba Sakaguchi

Futaba Sakaguchi was born in Tokyo. After studying violin with Prof. Gerhard Bosse at the Tokyo Geijutsu-Daigaku (Tokyo University of the Arts), she moved to Germany, where she was accepted into Prof. Herwig Zack’s master class. There, she received the DAAD Prize as the top international student. A year later, she was honored as the best violinist at the Würzburg University of Music. Futaba Sakaguchi is a prize winner of several national and international competitions, including the Concorso Violinistico Internazionale “Andrea Postacchini” in Italy. Since 2005, she has been a member of the first violins of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra.
