Frederic Schikora Tamarit

Tenor Frederic Schikora Tamarit grew up in Barcelona as the child of a Catalan-German family of musicians. He began taking piano lessons at the age of five. As a member of the youth choir of the “Orfeó Català,” he discovered his passion for singing and began taking voice lessons in his hometown in 2017.
Since 2019, he has continued his studies at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin, where his teachers have included Scot Weir, Arnold Bezuyen, and Thomas Quasthoff. To this day, his studies are supplemented by author and conductor Peter Berne through lessons in accompaniment, conducting, singing, and the style of German and Italian opera.
Since the winter semester of 2023, the tenor has been studying with Prof. Konrad Jarnot at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf and is also taking classes in choral conducting as a minor with Timo Nuoranne.
