Edvin Somai

With the ensemble since 2020/21

Originally from Hungary, Edvin Somai is a graduate of the Palucca University of Dance, Dresden. He previously trained at the Hungarian Dance Academy in Budapest and made guest appearances as a dancer with Semperoper Dresden and the Hungarian State Opera.
He has performed in Demis Volpi’s “The Nutcracker”, “Geschlossene Spiele”, “the thing with feathers” and “Surrogate Cities”, the Fire Chief in Andrey Kaydanovskiy’s “Die Kahle Sängerin”, “Spectrum” by Juanjo Arqués, Aszure Barton’s “Come In”, “A Kiss to the World” by Dominique Dumais, Hélène Blackburn’s “Coppélia X Machina”, Bridget Breiner’s “Biolographie”, Hans van Manen’s “Four Schumann Pieces”, John Neumeier’s “A Streetcar Named Desire”, and Lesley Telford’s “Threshold of a Fall”.
